Kevin Conklin Artist at Work

Comes from all facets of life. Patterns and beauty seem to find a happy convergence in Kevin’s work. You really have to see it and judge for yourself to be properly swept away. His work elicits an almost mathematical beauty captured in oils.

A native of Connecticut, Kevin has received great acclaim and numerous awards for his landscapes and cityscapes. He began his education attending a four year program at Paier followed by two years at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Upon his return home to Connecticut, Kevin embarked on a successful illustration career with numerous corporate and editorial clients as well as advertising in and for magazines such as Field and Stream, Golf Digest, Tennis Magazine, INC. Magazine, Nautica and Snow Country.

After years of illustrating, Kevin found himself inspired to create Fine Art. The abstract patterns of nature, how light falls on and affects subjects and objects and casts shadows, creating a unison of shape relationships…the essence that is found in both nature and the city/urban landscape. Using a combination of both oil and oil pastel, Kevin shows his spiritual connection with these scenes reflected in his art.
